248 residential units with shared facilities and swimming pools
Comprehensive residential development addressed to both permanent residents and to vacation home owners. The sea view site is located 100 m from the coastline of Limassol and in close proximity to the ruins of the ancient-- more -- town of Amathus.
A multi-faceted urban fabric is created by interchanging from suburban streetscape to ad hoc village-like neighborhoods, from hillside and sea-view apartments to garden villas with private swimming pools. The residences are organized around a central spine of common green. The vehicular circulation is reduced to a minimum while pedestrian spaces and public amenities are maximized. The master planning combines 75 garden villas, terraced houses and townhouses with 173 apartments distributed in sixteen friendly- scale complexes.
A.C.H. design is a study on achieving urban density without compromising privacy. It is an architectural exercise about exploring successfully the balance between the extroverted ‘sea view’ aspect and the introverted 'neighborhood' serene feeling.
